Suitable Pilz evaluation devices are, for example:
} myPNOZ
} PNOZmulti for monitoring safety laser scanners
Configure the safety laser scanner in the PNOZmulti Configurator as a "Light curtain"
function element with switch type3.
} Automation system PSS 4000
The correct connection to the respective evaluation device is described in the operating
manual for the evaluation device. Connect the evaluation device in accordance with the
specifications in the operating manual for the selected evaluation device.
10.3 Configuration of zones
Note:
When these inputs/outputs are used, a pin has to be assigned for each used input or out-
put.

For simultaneous monitoring of several zones and the switching of monitoring of zone sets,
the configurable inputs of the safety laser scanner must be configured appropriately.
} Configuration of a static zone set
No configurable inputs are required.
} Configuration of two zone sets
Configure two configurable inputs.
} Configuration of three zone sets
Configure three configurable inputs.
