Procedure:
1. Select a device under Network environment.
The following information is shown in the work window:
Device type
Configuration
Firmware version
Device status
Device IP address
2. Select Device -> Firmware update.
Enter the password and log on to the safety laser scanner.
3. Click on Select and, in the directory in which the current firmware is saved, select the
package that is to be loaded.
A report showing information on the selected package is displayed in the Firmware up-
date work window.
4. Click on Download under Load configuration to load the selected package.
The safety laser scanner switches to offline while the package is being loaded.
5. Switch to the offline check mode when the firmware was loaded successfully. Create a
configuration and check the new firmware version.
Perform a complete reset of the safety laser scanner. [ 100]
6. Click Accept, when the firmware works correctly or Reject, when the firmware does not
work correctly.
12.3.2 Exchange of a memory module
When exchanging a memory module, you can use a memory module without saved config-
uration or a memory module where a configuration is already saved. This configuration can
be restored for use in the safety laser scanner.
Note:
The memory module must only be uninstalled when the supply voltage is switched off.
Procedure:
1. Switch off the safety laser scanner.
2. Turn the safety laser scanner PSEN sc M 3.0/5.5 08-17 series for better access to the
memory module.
3. Loosen the M3 screws of the protective cover and remove the protective cover.
The screws are secured against loss and they cannot be removed.
