2 Overview
2.1 Device features
Safety laser scanners of the PSEN sc M 3.0/5.5 08-17 series constitute electrosensitive
protective equipment (ESPE type: 3) in accordance with EN 61496-3 for workspaces in
which machines, robots, and automated systems might pose a physical danger to their op-
erators.
} Four safety laser scanners can be connected in series (1 master and 3 subscribers)
} Configurations are created with the PSENscan Configurator:
With teach-in function when creating zones.
Support for several zone sets for a difference at exactly two points.
} In a series connection with master and subscriber units, devices with different operating
ranges and different detection capabilities can be freely combined
} Detection capability: 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 70 mm, 150 mm
