5.4 Deconstructing a Sample Pack.
Sample packs are built with a specic format and structure to maximise the
benets of Play+’s features. As an example of the components and
structure the Dirty Click Pack from the factory library is illustrated.

Sample Pack name and highest
folder level in the hierarchy.
Only one subfolder level with a
folder for each instrument.
Pack has 6 folders. Play+ has a
maximum limit of 20 per project.
Three key percussion folders must
be labelled containing the ‘Kick’,
‘Snare’ or ‘HiHat’ text
44.1kHz, 16 Bit WAV Files
Melodic samples tuned to note ‘C’
Formats WAV, 16, 24 or 32 Bit,
Mono or Stereo at any sample rate.
Play+ will recognise all folders in
the sample pack folder as packs
Samples are copied to the sample
pool for use in a project
