P4.2.7 draFt Feed Forward oPtIon
Menu > Tuning > Draft > Tuning Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines if a feed forward signal is used with the draft control. Feed forward causes the draft damper to start to move as soon
as the ring rate changes for rapid response to burner load changes.
Options: Disabled: No draft feed forward signal is desired or used. The draft damper is positioned by the FlexFit when the
measured draft changes.
Enabled: Draft feed forward is used. The draft damper is pre-positioned by the FlexFit when the fuel valve changes
position and is then trimmed to maintain the draft setpoint.
Notes If "Draft Feed Forward Option" is disabled, then P4.2.8 and draft feed forward curves are ignored.
"Draft Feed Forward Option" must be disabled to make changes to draft feed forward curve values.
P4.2.8 FeedForward ProPortIonal band
Menu > Tuning > Draft > Tuning Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
The amount of change in feed forward curve that causes the draft damper to change 1.00 degree. A smaller value cause more
control action.
Options: 1.25 to 5.00 [Default 2.00]
P4.2.9 Modulate delay, draFt
Menu > Tuning > Draft > Tuning Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines the time delay (seconds) between ring-rate release to modulate and the draft control entering automatic. The FlexFit
will hold the damper at the Purge position (or at the adjustable start setpoint – see "P4.3.1 Adjustable Start Draft Option" on page
4-81) for this amount of time after the FlexFit releases the burner to modulate.
Options: 0 to 60 [Default 0]
P4.2.10 cooldown delay, draFt
Menu > Tuning > Draft > Tuning Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
This determines the amount of time (seconds) allowed for cooldown. The FlexFit will hold the damper at the Purge position for this
amount of time after both the FD and ID fans have stopped. This provides an extended cooldown for refractory lines furnaces.
Options: 0 to 900 [Default 0]

Draft Feed Forward Curves
The X values for fuel 1. The technician can add/modify up to 11 curve points. Each coordinate point is a pair of servo positions (fuel
valve ° and draft damper °). The X values correspond to the fuel servo degrees of rotation and must be entered in ascending order.
The Y values correspond to the draft damper servo degrees of rotation.
Options: -30.00 to 200.00 [Default -30.00]
Error Check Draft feed forward curve points can only be changed while "P4.2.7 Draft Feed Forward Option" is disabled.
P4.2.12 draFt FeedForward Fuel 1 curVe y ValueS
Menu > Tuning > Draft > FeedForward Curves Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
The Y values for fuel 1. See "P4.2.11 Draft FeedForward Fuel 1 Curve X Values".
Options: -30.00 to 200.00 [Default 0.00]
P4.2.13 draFt FeedForward Fuel 2 curVe x ValueS
Menu > Tuning > Draft > FeedForward Curves Password Level: Technician Restricted? No
The X values for fuel 2. See "P4.2.11 Draft FeedForward Fuel 1 Curve X Values".
Options: -30.00 to 200.00 [Default -30.00]
Error Check
Fuel positions (X values)
must be in ascending
order starting with the rst
point. The rst unused fuel
point must to set to -30.00;
all points above that
position will be ignored.
