SECTION 6 - FAULT & ALERT MANAGE-
6-5
Print Label Failed To Load A label was sent to printer but did
not load correctly.
This fault should clear if the label is
sent again and loads correctly. The
fault can also be reset by turning off
the printer option.
Temp. Transducer Failed The Seal Bar actual temperature
display reads 616 degrees or higher.
A qualified service person should
test the Thermocouple to Voltage
Transducer and its associated cir-
cuits.
Cylinder Motion Fault 1. Check the compressed air supply to machine is 80 PSI Clean & Dry.
2. Check for a kinked or disconnected air line to the cylinder.
3. Check for mechanical interference or binding in the cylinder motion.
4. Check the Cylinder Position Sensor operation. Verify that the correct
sensor is ON when the cylinder is fully extended or retracted. Verify
that the matching PLC input is ON when the sensor is ON.
5. Check that the Solenoid Valve energizes when the designated PLC
Output switches ON.
6. Check that the Flow Controls are not misadjusted and causing a lazy
or excessively slow cylinder motion.
Sensor Conflict Fault 1. The PLC has detected that both Cylinder Position Sensors were on at
the same time (Conflict - a cylinder can not be both extended and
retracted at the same time). One of the sensors has failed in the ON
condition (short circuit). Replace the defective sensor.
2. An unknown magnetic or ferrous object is within sensing range of the
sensor and causing unintended switching of the sensor. Remove the
foreign object and retest circuit.
Print Length Too Long The Print Length setting must be
less than the Bag Length Setting
Adjust the Print Length to be less
that the Bag Length.
Excessive Length for Consecutive
Bags
The Bag Length Setting multiplied
by the Consecutive Bags setting
may not exceed 50 inches total.
Lower the number of consecutive
bags until the fault clears itself.
