Architecture
The Pegasus3 architecture is based on a state-of-the-art PMC Sierra 8067
I/Oprocessorcoupledwith1GofDDR3-1866SDRAMmemoryandaworldclassenterprise-proven
RAID engine.
Protocol SuPPort
Pegasus3supportsThunderbolt3™technology,providingtwochannelswith40Gb/softhroughput
in both directions simultaneously. Thunderbolt 3 is NOT COMPATIBLE with the previous versions of
Thunderbolt (i.e. Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2).
Thunderbolt 3 supports daisy-chaining up to six (6) high-speed peripheral devices, including external
disks, video capture devices, and a Mini DisplayPort monitor.
Pegasus3 has two Thunderbolt ports, as required for daisy-chaining.
