Setting up a connection with VIBXPERT
DatatransmissiontakesplaceviaanetworkorUSBconnection.
• ConnectVIBXPERTtothenetworkoraPCusingthecableprovided
(seealsop.2-32).
• Clickonthe'Connection'button.
• Setthetypeofconnection(USBorEthernet).
• For Ethernet only: Enter the IP address of the data collector in the
networkinthe'IPaddress'eld(seealsop.2-34f.).
• Totesttheconnection,clickonthe'Testcommunication'button.If
theconnectionisworking,ayellow'Smiley'symbolappears.Ared
'Smiley'symbolindicatesafaultyconnection.
VIBXPERT successfully connected
Configuring VIBXPERT
The configuration encompasses the following functions:
- Updating the firmware
- Transferring logo images for the report printouts
• Clickonthe'Conguredevice'button.
• The'Newrmware'buttonstartsthe'VIBXPERTupdatetool'that
updatesthermwareinVIBXPERT(seealsop.2-37f.).
The program must be installed in the designated directory on the
PC:
C:\Programs\Pruftechnik\vibxpert\VxpUpdateTool
• Clickon'Report-Logo'button,toloadanewlogoimageintoVIBX-
PERT. The logo appears on each printed report page top right. File
requirements:
- Format:PNG/Size:186pixel(longestside)
