How to troubleshoot a Rapid Air Handlers motor that does not operate?
- SShawn KingAug 11, 2025
If the motor of your Rapid Air Handlers unit isn't working, here's what you can check: * Ensure the main disconnect switch is turned ON. * Replace any blown fuses in the disconnect or control transformer. Reset the breaker in the control transformer, but first, turn the disconnect off. * Check the wiring of the fan switch and replace if necessary. * For optional dampers, make sure they aren't obstructed, the linkage is tight, and replace the damper actuator if needed. * Replace the motor starter if it's not operating. * Reset any tripped motor overloads, check the FLA setting, and tighten screws on heater packs or the overload if applicable. * If equipped with a low limit switch, readjust the setting if it's too high.
