Troubleshooting
Error Messages
Issue Possible Cause Solution
Remote tank
console will not
power on
Viper Pro not
powered on
Power on the Viper Pro and access the Program
Selection Menu screen.
Power not provided
to remote tank
console
Check and reconnect 6-pin Deutsch connector.
Check and reconnect 4-pin round connector on the back
of the remote tank console.
Check and reconnect air cart cable to chassis
connection.
Meter rollers do
not turn when
priming or
calibrating.
Hydraulics to air cart
are not powered on.
Turn hydraulics to air cart on and check pressure.
Verify there is no debris or blockages in the hydraulic
circuit.
Issue Possible Cause Solution
Check air cart
node or CAN
communication
Power/ground issue
with air cart node(s).
Check the power and ground connections on air cart
nodes.
Check CANbus system connections and reconnect
nodes.
No nodes have
been found. Verify
power to node
and CAN
connection
Nodes not powered
or faulty logic power
connection
Check CANbus system connections and reconnect
nodes.
CAN nodes not
connected to
controller.
Verify hitch connections and check CANbus system
connections.
Can not calibrate,
note enough
meter revolutions.
Press any key
Valve PWM output
insufficient for
system
measurement
Increase PWM output during priming procedure.
Verify PWM or PWM close valve type is selected for the
selected product(s).
Be sure the min and max PW values are programmed
correctly. Refer to the PWM Calibration Assistance
section on page 257 for more information.
