3.2.2.2 USB Attach/Detach Register
The USB Attach/Detach Register is used to attach and detach the device from the USB host in the
USB communication standards without the physical attachment/detachment of the USB cable.
• Port 8

When this bit is “0”, Port 8

operates as a normal CMOS port.
When this bit is “1”, Port P8

has a stealth detach function and becomes the 3.3V supply terminal for
the D+ line. When the stealth detach function is used, a 1.5kΩ resistor must be connected between
P8

and the D+ pin. When the stealth detach function is not used, the 1.5kΩ resistor should be placed
between EXTCAP and D+.
• Attach/Detach Selection Bit
When this bit is “0”, the USB host will detect a detach.
When this bit is “1”, the USB host will detect an attach.
