(NRC) ACTION
3-1 Operation impaired by other causes. 1. Sensor damage (trailing edge sensor).
2. Harness disconnected, damaged.
3. Control board malfunction.
4. DC relay board abnormal.
5. Paper feed clutch operation abnormal.
6. Charge roller is dirty, scarred, or damaged.
1. Replace trailing edge sensor (ST).
2. Check harness, replace (NRC).
3. Replace control board (NRC).
4. Replace DC relay board (NRC).
5. Replace the paper feed clutch
(NRC).
6. Clean the charge roller (ST) or
replace it (NRC).
8.1.13 PAPER REMAINS - BYPASS

(NRC) ACTION
Paper remains jam occurred (Bypass set sensor)
When the printer was turned on, or when paper
was fed from Tray 1 or Tray 2, the bypass set
sensor detected paper in the bypass tray.
Ask the operator to try the following procedures to
remove and prevent paper-remain jams in the
bypass tray. Also, check inside the printer for
paper. If you find paper inside the printer, remove
it, and then press the [Paper Feed] key.
1. Paper remains
2. Damage.
1. Remove the paper.
2. Repair (ST) or replace (NRC).
Also, check the bypass tray for paper. If you find
paper in the bypass tray, remove it, and then
press the [Paper Feed] key.
Paper remains. Remove the paper.
(2) ST Descriptions

8.1.14 PAPER JAM CARRIAGE BLOCKED

SERVICE TECHNICIAN (ST) and/or
NATIONAL RECLAMATION CENTER
(NRC) ACTION
Carriage jam occurred.
When the printer was switched on, or when
feeding paper from Tray 1, Tray 2, or the bypass
tray, the carriage stopped moving.
The carriage has stopped because it has hit a
jammed sheet of paper, etc. in its path. Also,
check inside the printer for paper. If you find
paper inside the printer, remove it, and then press
the [Paper Feed] key.
1. Insufficient attraction between the belt and paper
during duplex printing.
2. Paper that does not meet specifications was
used.
3. Paper was loaded incorrectly.
4. Tray damaged.
1. Move the paper selector to the Envelope
position, set duplex printing for auto
compression.
2. Use only paper that meets specifications.
3. Load the paper correctly.
4. Repair (ST) or replace (NRC).
