5.3 POWER-ON SELF TESTS
The controller tests the following devices at power-on. If an error is detected, an error code
is stored in the controller board.
CPU, ASIC and clock
Flash ROM
Resident and optional SDRAM
NIB
IEEE 802.11a/g, Gigabit Ethernet or IEEE1284 (if installed)
NVRAM
Optional HDD (if installed)
To check the error codes, use engine SP 7832.
