Embedded Serial Port
Wiring
The embedded serial port is a non-isolated RS-232/RS-485 serial port, which is
targeted to be used for short distances (<3 m) to devices such as HMIs.
See Embedded Serial Port Cables
on page 21 for a list of cables that can be used
with the embedded serial port 8-pin Mini DIN connector.
For example, the 1761-CBL-PM02 cable is typically used to connect the
embedded serial port to PanelView™ 800 HMI using RS-232.
