Click the (Import) button in the item list header to upload the CA.
k) Click "Select" to choose the CA file from the local disk and open it.
l) Click "Import" to add the CA to the truststore.
The CA is listed in both the "Certificates" list and in the "Custom Certificates" list.

Click " Activate" in the toolbar at the top of the desktop to apply your configura-
tion changes.
4.10 Handling Certificates
The following chapters describe the various actions that can be carried out for certifi-
cates.
4.10.1 Creating a Certificate
1. Navigate to "Cert. Management > Certificates" .
2.
Click the plus button in the item list header.
3. From the drop-down list, select the "Type" of the certificate to be created.
4. Enter the "Validity" range for the certificate in the format MM/DD/YYYY.
5. From the drop-down list, select the encryption algorithm to be used for the private
key.
6. Enter a "Distinguished Name (DN)" .
7. Click "Create" to add the new certificate to the list of available certificates.
The remaining settings depend on the type of certificate you desire to create. For fur-
ther information, see "Certificates Settings" on page 123.
4.10.2 Importing a Certificate
1. Navigate to "Cert. Management > Certificates" .

Click the
(Import) button in the item list header.
3. If you desire to upload a PKCS 12 file, enter a "Password" which is then used to
decrypt the file. For PEM and CRT files the password is optional. It is used to
decrypt the private key (if one is included).
4. Enter a "New Password" to protect the private key of the certificate after importing
the certificate. If you do not enter a new password, the private key will not be pass-
word protected.
