connect to the gateprotect Firewall for VPN access.
For "Internal" authentication:
To define and manage local users for internal authentication, perform the following
steps:
1. From the menu in the navigation pane, select "Firewall > User Authentication >
Local Users" .
2.
Click the plus button
in the item list bar header.
3. Enter a "User Name" .
Note: The user's login name has to exactly match the "User Name" (case sensi-
tive). Otherwise, the name in the user-specific firewall rules will not correspond to
the user logging in and the rules will not match.
4. Enter a "Password" and confirm the password.
5. Only users for which the "Activate User" checkbox is selected can access the VPN.
6. Only users for which the "Show on Desktop" checkbox is selected (in addition to
"Activate User" ) appear as nodes on the desktop and are, therefore, available for
connections and firewall rules.
