Note:
• The controller automatically saves all variable values of the firing curve.
• If you do not press any keys within 20 seconds, the controller automatically reverts to the idle display. All
changes are automatically applied and saved immediately.
• Alternatively, you can exit the programming mode with the
j key and start the firing process immediately.
However, changes made are automatically saved.
5.4.2. Programming the FULL & END ramp rates
You can also program FULL and END when entering the first heating rate (Rmp
1
), second heating rate (Rmp
2
) or
cooling rate (Rmp
3
).
FULL:
⇒ This means the fastest possible heating or uncontrolled, natural cooling with the heating elements switched
off.
⇒ The value FULL is one step above the value “999 °C/h”. Press and hold the
d or f key while entering to
quickly toggle between the displayed values.
END:
⇒ Ends the firing program.
⇒ The firing program ends with the respective heating or cooling rate (Rmp
x
) in which END was programmed.
If you do not enter END (program end) in the cooling rate, the temperature control in the controller is
terminated at 150 °C, and the main display then shows the end of the firing. Alternatively, you can end the
firing by pressing the
j key.
⇒ After END has been programmed, no further program steps can be selected.
⇒ The value END is one step below the value “1 °C/h”. Press and hold the
d or f key while entering to
quickly toggle between the displayed values.
5.5. Starting & stopping the firing process
5.5.1. Starting & stopping with j
Step Description
Starting the firing process
j
Start the firing process by pressing the j key. The running firing process is
signalled by the lit indicator above the j key.
Stopping the firing process
j
Stop the firing process by pressing the j key. You can end the firing process
early at any time by pressing the j key again. The firing in progress indicator
light above the j key goes out.
5.5.2. General information
⇒ Before starting, it is recommended that you check the program values with the g key.
⇒ If the kiln cannot follow the required increase in a controlled ramp, the controller pauses at the
temperature until the kiln has reached the required set temperature again (the indicator light above the
j key remains lit during this time. As soon as the kiln has reached this temperature, the ramp-up
continues. As this process may occur repeatedly, the ramp-up can actually take longer.
⇒ It is also a good idea to have a written record of the contents of the firing programs kept and displayed
near the kiln, especially if there is more than one user of the kiln.
