Replacing the Separating Knife
If the separating knife becomes dull, replace it with the included replacement knife.
CAUTION
Be sure to perform operations as specied by the following instructions,
and never touch any area not specied in the instructions.
Sudden movement of the machine may cause injury.
CAUTION
Never touch the tip of the separating knife.
Doing so may result in injury.

Enter the separating knife replacement menu.
Remove any media.
Press .
Press several times until the screen on the left appears.
Press
, and then twice.

Press .
y
Press several times until the screen on the left appears.
Press
.
The print-head carriage moves to a location where separating knife replace-
ment is possible, and then the screen on the left appears.
z
Open the front cover.
Preparations are complete when this screen appears.
