What to do if my Rotex Heat Pump shows a flow failure?
- LLauren GutierrezAug 13, 2025
If your Rotex Heat Pump is showing a flow failure, with water flow too low (less than 16 l/min) or no water flow, here are some things to check: * Ensure all shut-off valves in the water circuit are fully open. * Inspect and clean the water filter. * Remove any air from the system. * Verify sufficient water pressure using the manometer (pressure should be >0.3 bar when water is cold and >>0.3 bar when hot). * Confirm the pump speed setting is at its highest. * Check the expansion vessel for damage. * Ensure the water circuit's resistance isn't too high for the pump. * If the error occurs during defrost, check the backup heater power supply and fuses. Also, check the pump fuse (FU2) and PCB fuse (FU1).
