Updating Firmware
Firmware Update provides an easy method to update the system’s rmware.
CAUTION:
Do not power down or disconnect the power cord during a rmware update to prevent dam-
age to the system.
Before you begin, download the latest rmware from the following site:
http://global.shuttle.com/download/download
From the support site, select your OMNINAS type and select your respective rmware update.
Download it to a local folder. The rmware le is packaged in a compressed format. It is not nec-
essary to unzip the le.
1. In Settings, select the Firmware Update tab, click Browse to select a rmware image
(previously downloaded from Shuttle support).
A Windows Explorer window opens.
2. Navigate to the folder containing the new rmware. Select the new rmware and click
Open.
3. Click Update to begin the update process.

If the selected rmware image is older or the same version as the current rmware, a
prompt displays to conrm the updating.
Note:
Do not uncompress new rmware les. The packaged le is required for the update rm-
ware procedure.
