8.4.5 Setting security functions
The OPC UA server and OPC UA client authorize each other for data exchange by exchanging
certi󹪝cates. By default, the 3RW5 OPC UA server classi󹪝es every certi󹪝cate of an OPC UA client
as "trustworthy". You can additionally encrypt the data tra󹪟c.
Requirements
The current clock time and date are stored in the 3RW55 or 3RW55 Failsafe soft starter (manually
or with NTP (Page 90)).

Con󹪝guration of the OPC UA server
When con󹪝guring the OPC UA server, make sure that you only release security parameters that
are compatible with the protection concept of your machine or plant.
