8.1.2.2 Activating the energy saving function
After the "Start_Pause" command the 3RW5 soft starter checks the transmitted pause time

). The switch to energy saving mode only takes eect when t

is greater than the device-
specic minimum pause time (t

). If the pause time is shorter, the 3RW5 soft starter
remains in operating mode and sends an error message.
To switch o the motor, the following cyclic and acyclic control data of the controller (bits in the
process image output (PIQ)) are suppressed and overwritten with the value "0":
• "Motor CW"
• "Motor CCW"
The other bits of the PIQ (e.g. "Reset") remain active.
