4.1 Installing the 3RW5 communication module in the 3RW5 soft
starter
Requirements
• 3RW5 soft starter with integrated slot (3RW52, 3RW55, 3RW55 Failsafe)
NOTICE
Damage to property due to electrical voltage
Switch o󹪜 the power to the 3RW5 soft starter before starting work (main and control supply
voltage).
Procedure
1. Break out the cover of the slot (Page 37).
2. Mount the 3RW5 communication module (Page 39).
Result
You have mounted the 3RW5 communication module in the 3RW5 soft starter, which you
can connect to the 󹪝eldbus (Page 50) via the 3RW5 communication module.

• Sharp, robust knife or diagonal cutter
