7.4 Error codes for negative data set acknowledgement
If a data set is rejected, an error code is sent with the negative acknowledgment. The error code
provides information about the reason for the negative acknowledgment.
Evaluation of the error codes
You can evaluate the error codes in the following ways:
• Con󹪝guration software of the controller, e.g. STEP 7
The error codes are output via PROFINET IO Layer 2. Further information can be found in the
corresponding manuals in the PROFINET IO protocol description.
