24 Maintenance
Qualified Personnel
For the purpose of this instruction manual and these product
labels, a
"qualified person" is one who is familiar with the
installation, construction and operation of the equipment and
the hazards involved.
In addition, he has the following qualifications:
d) Is trained and authorized to e
nergize, de-energize, clear,
ground and tag circuits and equipment in accordance
with established safety practices.
e) Is trained in the proper care and use of protective equip-
ment in accordance with established safety practices.
f) Is trained in rendering first aid.
The inspection procedure according NEMA AB4, section 3 must be
pe
rformed once a year.
The arc chutes and contact system m
ust be inspected according to
these operation instructions. If a fault condition opens the circuit
breaker, the circuit breaker should be inspected before it is re-pla-
ced into service.
Optional arc chute covers must be replaced at least after three short
ci
rcuit interruptions.

Qualifiziertes Personal
im Sinne dieser Betriebsanleitung bzw. der Warnhinweise auf
dem Produkt selbst sind Personen, die mit Aufstellung, Mon-
tage, Inbetriebsetzung und Betrieb des Produktes vertraut
si
nd und über die ihrer Tätigkeit entsprechenden Qualifikatio-
nen verfügen, wie z.B.:
d) Ausbildung oder Unterweisung bzw. Berechtigung,

tromkreise und Geräte/Systeme gemäß den Standards
der Sicherheitstechnik ein- und auszuschalten, zu erden
und zu kennzeichnen.
e) Ausbildung oder Unterweisu
ng gemäß den Standards
der Sicherheitstechnik in Pflege und Gebrauch ange-
messener Sicherheitsausrüstung.
f) Schulung in Erster Hilfe.
Das Inspektionsprogramm nach NEMA AB4, Kap.3 muss einmal
jä
hrlich ausgeführt werden.
In Abhängigkeit von den jeweiligen Betriebsbedingungen sind die
Li
chtbogenkammern und das Kontaktsystem zu inspizieren. Insbe-
sondere nach erfolgter Kurzschlussabschaltung ist deren Zustand
noch
vor dem erneuten Einschalten zu kontrollieren.
Die optional angebotenen Lichtbogenkammerabdeckungen müssen
spätestens nach drei Kurzschlussabschaltungen ersetzt werden.

schriften vertraut gemacht wurde.
Die erfolgreiche und sichere Funktio
n dieses Gerätes hängt
von ordentlicher Bedienung, Installation, Behandlung und War-
tung ab.

nance.
