Stabilizer
The Stabilizer button is located in the Setup index menu.
Figure 113 - Stabilizer button
This function will only be operative if the optional stabilizer is
connected. The stabilizer may be switched ON and OFF in the
menu.
When the stabilizer is switched ON, the transducer beam will be
stabilized electronically for roll and pitch. The beam direction will
change continuously according to the vessel’s movements, and
thus be compensated whenever the vessel is out of trim. The
beam angle will always be maintained as if referred to a “flat”
water surface. When the stabilizer is used, this also allows the use
of the PP- filter in rough seas. This will give a cleaner and more
stable echo presentation.
The first example in the figure indicates the sonar beam without
stabilization and the second indicates the stable sonar beam with
the stabilization in operation.

filter in rough seas. This will give a clearer and more stable echo
presentation,
