3.2 Procedures
Start procedure
Note ! Before starting up the sonar, check that the depth is sufficient, and that
the vessel’s speed is within the maximum speed specified with the
transducer lowered.
1 Start up the display monitor by pressingthe POWERbutton
on the monitor.
2 Start up the sonar by pressing the POWER button on the
sonar operating panel for approximately two seconds. The
green LED beside the button indicates that the sonar start
loading up the programme, and after approximately one
and a half minutes the sonar picture will be displayed.
3 Press the Down button for lowering the transducer to the
lower position. The green LED beside the button will start
blinking, and an audible signal indicates the lowering of the
transducer. When lower position is reached, the LED will
illuminates continuously, the audible signal stop, and the
upper button in the Status menu shows: Transducer
DOWN.
This completes the normal start up procedure.
In case of power failure, or if the switch S102 at the rear side of the
Sonar Processor Unit has been switched OFF, the sonar has to be
started by pressing the start switch S103 behind the small front
door on the Sonar Processor Unit.
