Certain components in the engine compart-
ment may be very hot. Direct contact may
result in skin burn. Let exhaust system cool
down prior to removing parts.
MUFFLER
Removal
Open hood.
Remove the connecting pipe using exhaust spring
remover/installer (P/N 529 035 539).

1. Connecting pipe
Unbolt the muffler from its rubber mounts. A
13 mm socket can be modified as per following
photos to undo the front right retaining nut.
