CAUTION
POSSIBLE EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
● Use nonabrasive cleaners when cleaning all stainless-steel, painted, or plastic external surfaces on the
Unit. Follow directions on the container. For stainless steel, rub in a back-and-forth motion (in the
same direction as the surface grain). Abrasive cleaners damage stainless steel and aluminum. Cleaner
rubbed in a circular motion or applied with a wire brush or steel wool can be harmful to stainless steel
and aluminum. Do not use abrasive cleaners on painted or plastic surfaces.
● Never use a wire brush, abrasives or steel wool on inside of door and chamber assembly.
STERIS recommends that the painted and stainless-steel external surfaces of the Low Temperature Sterilization
System be cleaned with a mild detergent solution and one quart water or a mild window-cleaning solution, as follows:
NOTE: When cleaning the Sterilization Unit, note the following:
• See Table 8-1for recommended cleaning products.
• STERIS recommends an occasional application of Stainless Steel Cleaner to stainless-steel surfaces.
• Avoid getting water/detergent on the Touch Screen and Printer areas. Wring out cloth before wiping the control panel.
• If equipped, do NOT step on the foot pedal and open the door.
1. Press Standby Screen touch pad on CYCLE screen.
2. Apply a cleaning solution with a damp cloth, rubbing in a back and forth motion (parallel to surface grain on
stainless steel).
3. Rinse cloth and wipe off any detergent residue, then dry surfaces with a clean, lint-free cloth.

Use only Sterilant Cups which have been specially formulated, tested and approved for use in this
Sterilization System. Use of other sterilants could impair equipment operation, result in costly repairs,
result in an ineffective Sterilization Cycle and void the equipment warranty.
NOTE: Use only Sterilant provided in STERIS designed Cups (Cartridges) in this Low Temperature Sterilization System.
STERIS Sterilant Cartridges contain high purity hydrogen peroxide and are produced under controlled conditions to
assure effectiveness through the expiration date stamped on the label.
