Error code Error Description and remedy
E0 Program selection error The set DIP switch combination selects a program number outside the permitted
range.
Remedy:
- Check DIP switches S11 to S14.
- Reboot the system, see “9.1 Rebooting the system“ on page 160.
E1 Communication interrupted Communication error between indoor unit and the InterfaceIIIk.
Remedy:
- Reboot the system, “9.1 Rebooting the system“ on page 160.
E2 Incorrect message length Communication error between indoor unit and the InterfaceIIIk. There may be
bus users that are not communicating via the MHI protocol (X/Y).
Remedy:
- Reboot the system, see “9.1 Rebooting the system“ on page 160.
E3 Checksum error Communication error between indoor unit and the InterfaceIIIk. There may be
bus users that are not communicating via the MHI protocol (X/Y).
Remedy:

E4 Parity error Communication error between indoor unit and the InterfaceIIIk. There may be
bus users that are not communicating via the MHI protocol (X/Y).
Remedy:

E5 SIO offline No data received or sent.
Remedy:
- Reboot the system, see “9.1 Rebooting the system“ on page 160.
E6 Buffer overflow Communication error between indoor unit and the InterfaceIIIk. There may be
bus users that are not communicating via the MHI protocol (X/Y).
Remedy:
- Reboot the system, see “9.1 Rebooting the system“ on page 160.
E8 Transmitter voltage error Incorrect wiring, board is faulty or has incorrect power supply.
Remedy:
- Check whether the Interface III k is correctly wired.
- Cut power to the Interface III k, wait three minutes, then switch power back on.
- Replace the faulty Interface III k if necessary.
9.1 Rebooting the system
Procedure
1. Cut the power to the InterfaceIIIk by pulling out the connector from socket X1 of the InterfaceIIIk.
2. Re-insert the connector in socket X1.
3. Connect the InterfaceIIIk to the power supply and wait it has completed initialization.
If the error recurs frequently, check the bus line to the indoor air conditioning unit.
