9. EC Tower maintenance
9.1 Safety instructions
DANGER
Danger of death from electric shock!
• Switch off the unit on the C7000AT controller before opening the EC Tower.
• Then switch off the EC Tower via the master switch.
• Switch off power to components that carry voltage and check to ensure they are no longer
live.
• Afx a “DO NOT SWITCH ON” warning sign to the air conditioning unit.
• When the master switch is on and the unit is stopped via the controller, the contactors are still
live even if the components are not in operation.
• The fan contactor can carry dangerous voltage. Only open the unit 5 minutes after voltage
has been switched off at all poles.
WARNING
Danger of loss of limbs if fan is running on!
• Wait until the fan has come to a stop before opening the EC Tower.
WARNING
Risk of burns from the hot steam humidifier and hot fan motor enclosure!
• Allow the steam humidier and fan motor enclosure to cool down.
• Wear protective gloves.
WARNING
Risk of injury from loose parts flying out from the rotating fan!
• Inspect the fan for loose parts and tools after performing maintenance.
• Remove loose parts and tools from the fan before switching on the air conditioning unit.
Perform all maintenance work in strict compliance with accident prevention regulations in force in your coun-
try. Observe accident prevention regulations for electrical systems, chillers and equipment. Non-compliance
with the safety instructions can result in danger to persons and to the environment.
Have maintenance work on the units performed only by authorized and qualified specialist personnel.
