Steam humidifier maintenance is described in the steam humidifier OEM User Manual (see “6.1 Maintenance
intervals“ on page 172).

9.4 Unit in general
Electrical parts
During installation, check that connection terminals are secure. Check once more after an operating time of
30 calendar days.
- Perform regular maintenance on electrical parts as per DGUV V3: Electrical installations and equipment.
- Check electrical parts as per VDE after repairs and routine checks.
Mechanical parts
Clean the inside of the unit with a vacuum cleaner. Clean piping makes it easier to find leaks. Check that pipes
are securely fastened. Vibrating pipes and circuit components can cause leaks.
Clean dirt from the heater yearly. Check for damage.
9.7 Replacing the solenoid valve coil of the optional water warningsystem
This section applies only to EC Towers that are equipped with a water warning system with sensor and sole-
noid valve.
If the solenoid valve coil is faulty, replace it as follows:

Procedure
1. Switch off power to the solenoid valve.
2. Using a screwdriver, lift the coil out of the armature.
3. Clean the armature.
4. Position the new coil on the armature.
- Slide the coil into the armature until it audibly clicks into place.
