3. Place an antistatic mat, shiny side up, next to the system unit.
The mat is supplied with the replacement VSIMM.
4. Remove the faulty VSIMM.
Grasp the VSIMM at its top corners and carefully wiggle it free from its connector
(see
FIGURE 11-6). Be careful not to touch any of the components on the VSIMM.
5. Place the VSIMM on the antistatic mat.
