3 1) Connect the ECM coupler. Refer to “ECM Removal and
Installation in Section 1C (Page 1C-1)”.
2) Turn the ignition switch ON.
3) Measure the input voltage at the B wire and ground with
the needle pointed probes.
If OK, the measure the input voltage at the B wire and B/
Br wire.

(A): 09900–25008 (Multi-circuit tester set)

IAP sensor #1 input voltage
4.5 – 5.5 V
((+) terminal: B – (–) terminal: Ground, (+) terminal: B
– (–) terminal: B/Br)
Is the voltage OK?
Go to Step 4. Open or short circuit in
the B wire or B/Br wire.
