Suzuki GSF650A - Exhaust System Inspection

Exhaust System: 1K-5
• Route the HO2 sensor lead wire. Refer to “Throttle
Body Construction in Section 1D (Page 1D-9)”.
• Tighten the muffler mounting nut and muffler
connecting bolts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Muffler mounting nut (c): 25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.0
lbf-ft)
Muffler connecting bolt (d): 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m,
16.5 lbf-ft)
Exhaust System Inspection

Inspect the exhaust pipe connection and muffler
connection for exhaust gas leakage and mounting
condition. If any defect is found, replace the exhaust
pipe or muffler with a new one.
Check the exhaust pipe bolts, muffler connecting bolts
and muffler mounting nut are tightened to their specified
torque.
Tightening torque
Exhaust pipe bolt (a): 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lbf-ft)
Exhaust pipe mounting bolt (b): 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m,
16.5 lbf-ft)
Muffler connecting bolt (c): 23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5
lbf-ft)
Muffler mounting nut (d): 25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.0
lbf-ft)
