Suzuki GSF650A - Engine Coolant Temperature Indicator Light Inspection (GSX650 FK8)

9C-15 Combination Meter / Fuel Meter / Horn:
2) With the adjuster switch (1) pressed, turn the ignition
switch on.
3) Release the adjuster switch (1), 3 to 5 seconds after
turning the ignition switch on.
4) Press the adjuster switch (1) twice (within 1 second).
→ Reset
5) Pointer will return to the starting point right after the
completion of the operation. In the case of the
pointer not returning to the proper position after
doing above, replace the combination meter unit.
Refer to “Combination Meter Removal and
Installation (GSX650FK8) (Page 9C-13)”.
Engine Coolant Temperature Indicator Light
Inspection (GSX650FK8)

Inspect the engine coolant temperature indicator light in
the following procedures:
1) Remove the left under cowling. Refer to “Exterior
Parts Removal and Installation (GSX650FK8) in
Section 9D (Page 9D-14)”.
2) Disconnect the ECT sensor coupler (1).
3) Connect the variable resistor (2) between the
terminals.
4) Turn the ignition switch ON.
5) Check the LED (3) and LCD (4) operations when the
resistance is adjusted to the specified values.
If either one or all indications are abnormal, replace
the combination meter with a new one. Refer to
“Combination Meter Removal and Installation
(GSX650FK8) (Page 9C-13)”.
6) Connect the ECT sensor coupler.
