• Also check that the driveshaft and countershaft rotate
smoothly.
Crank Balancer
• Temporarily install the cam chain drive sprocket,
starter clutch and starter clutch cover. Refer to “Starter
Torque Limiter / Starter Clutch Removal and
Installation in Section 1I (Page 1I-10)”.
NOTE
Before installing the starter clutch cover,
install the dowel pins.
• Turn the crankshaft to bring the line “A” on starter
clutch to the slit “B” of the valve timing inspection hole.
• Hold the crankshaft and install the crank balancer
assembly.
NOTE
Align the engraved line “C” on the crank
balancer, punch mark “D” on the balancer
gear and triangle mark “E” on the crankcase
in line.
• Apply molybdenum oil solution to the balancer shaft.
M/O: Molybdenum oil (MOLYBDENUM OIL
SOLUTION)
CAUTION
!
Replace the O-ring (1) with a new one.
• Install the balancer shaft.
