5B-6 Manual Transmission:
• Install the driveshaft assembly on the upper
crankcase.
NOTE
Align the bearing ring “A” with the groove
“B” on the crankcase and the bearing pin (1)
with the indent “C” on the bearing.
• Install the countershaft assembly on the upper
crankcase.
NOTE
Align the C-ring (3) with the groove “D” on
the bearing and the bearing pin (2) with the
indent “E” on the bearing.
• Install the oil seal (4).
• Turn each bearing to set the bearing dowel pin “F” and
“G” in position.
• Assemble the engine. Refer to “Engine Bottom Side
Assembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-71)” and “Engine
Top Side Assembly in Section 1D (Page 1D-31)”.
• Remount the engine assembly. Refer to “Engine
Assembly Installation in Section 1D (Page 1D-24)”.
