Functional Description:
It is a reflective opto-coupler mounted on the left side of the carriage. The dark
background on the mechanism and white paper creates a reflective gradient on the sensor.
Therefore, the time elapsed between the reflective grad ients in a specific carriage speed
determines the form width.

Functional Description:
The Code Wheel rotation follows the change in position of the Paper Path Select Lever.
The interruption of the Code Wheel provides 4 different combinations of trans-reception on the
transmissive SENS1/SENS2 pair. The 4 positions of the Lever identify the paths of Single,
FF-front, FF-rear and FF-pull.
