Streaks
NOTE: One cutting unit width shown. Arrow indicates

A streak is a line of uncut grass. This is usually caused by
a nicked or bent bedknife.
Probable Cause Remedy
Damaged bedknife. Replace bedknife. (See “Bedknife” on page 8-17.)
Damaged or unevenly worn reel. Inspect reel. Replace as needed. (See “Reel Assembly” on
page 8-20.)
Loose or missing bedknife fasteners. Check bedknife screws; tighten loose screws. Replace missing
screws.
Incorrect roller. Install correct roller for application. (See “Front Roller—Solid Tube
and Segmented” on page 10-9.)
Bedknife is matting the grass down. Install correct bedknife for the application. (See “Bedknife” on
page 8-17.)
