9. Tighten screw (7) on both sides of machine. Recheck
the cutting height. Readjust if necessary.
Strip Brush Adjustment
See Figure 10-8.
NOTES
• The brush should be raised to clear the turf and
securely tightened when not in use.
• Make sure the brush does not come into contact with
the reel.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

2. Loosen jam nuts (1) and square head bolts (2) on
both sides of the mower.
3. Center the brush assembly (3) between the mounting
brackets.
4. Adjust the brush assembly (3) to the desired depth
below the ground line (bottom of rollers, 4 and 5),
and tighten square head bolts (2) and jam nuts (1):
a. For best results, position the brush 1/16 in.
(1.58 mm) below the rollers.
b. The brush should not be adjusted so low that it
damages the turf. Check the adjustment in a test
area before returning the mower to service.
