TSAT 3000 - Telemetry and data transfer via SATellite
TSAT 3000 Configuration Parameter Description, January 2013 Page 80 of 124
STRATEGY:
HUB: Not Used.
RT: Define the position at which packets are to be transmitted to HUB.
Normally,
STRATEGY 0 or 1 is used. Other values are used to test PPR functionality.
0: Send packet in random
position (0 … PULSES – 1).
1: Send packet in fixed
position.
a)
FIXED_POS = 0: NET_RT_ADDRESS – 1 mod PULSES.
b)
FIXED_POS > 0: FIXED_POS – 1.
2: Send packet in increasing
positions: 0, 1, 2 … PULSES–1, <empty slot>, 0, 1 …
The start
position (in slot 1) is given by FIXED_POS or NET_RT_ADDRESS.
3: Send packet in decreasing
positions: PULSES–1 … 2, 1, 0, <empty slot>, PULSES–1 …
The start
position (in slot 1) is given by FIXED_POS or NET_RT_ADDRESS.
4: Send packet in alternate
positions: 0, PULSES–1, 0, PULSES–1, 0 …
The start
position (in slot 1) is given by FIXED_POS or NET_RT_ADDRESS.
5, 6, 7: Send all packets in center
position: PULSES / 2.
TEST 1:
Disable PPR retransmissions:
HUB: When enabled, none
RTs will be requested to retransmit packets due to PPR collisions.
RT: When enabled, this
RT will not retransmit any packet due to PPR collisions.
When both
TEST_1 and TEST_3 are enabled, the RT will send NO_OPERATION packets
in all available slots.
PULSES:
Define number of pulse positions (range 2 … 15). Value zero
will disable the “PPR Facility”.
SEPARATION:
Define number of symbols separating each position (range 2 … 15 symbols).
TEST 2:
HUB: Detect position strategy. When enabled, the DSP will search for position within a window
of
SEPARATION symbols. Otherwise (default), the window is 4 symbols.
RT: Not used.
TEST 3:
HUB: Normally, the DSP will remove the position bit for OK received packets, but when
TEST 3
is enabled, all
position bits will be signaled to the CCU.
RT: When both
TEST_1 and TEST_3 are enabled, the RT will send NO_OPERATION packets
in all available slots.
FIXED POS:
HUB: Not used.
RT: Used when
STRATEGY is 1, 2, 3 or 4. In this case, the fixed (or start) position is given by:
a)
FIXED_POS = 0: NET_RT_ADDRESS – 1 mod PULSES.
b)
FIXED_POS > 0: FIXED_POS – 1.
REPEAT:
HUB: Not used.
RT: Used when
STRATEGY is 2, 3 or 4 (Testing). In this case, the increasing, decreasing or
alternate
position pattern is repeated a number of times. Examples:
STRATEGY = 2, PULSES = 5, FIXED = 4, REPEAT = 3:
Positions = 3 3 3 4 4 4 - - - 0 0 0 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 4 4 4 - - - 3 3 3 ….
STRATEGY = 3, PULSES = 5, FIXED = 4, REPEAT = 2:
Positions = 3 3 2 2 1 1 0 0 - - 4 4 3 3 2 2 1 1 0 0 - - 4 4 …
STRATEGY = 4, PULSES = 7, FIXED = 5, REPEAT = 4:
Positions = 6 6 6 6 0 0 0 0 6 6 6 6 0 0 0 0 6 6 6 6 …
