Chapter 6. Command List Guide
The command listed on this document is intended to communicate with equipment. The command is
a directive to PC acting as an interpreter to perform a specific task to Vatech equipment.
1. Communication Protocol
Communication Setting
The Smart Plus commands input and output data by Serial communication in HyperTerminal Program.
And the communication setting parameters are as the table below.

1 Baud(speed) 19200 bps
2 Data bit 8 bit
3 Stop bit 1 bit
4 Parity Not applied
5 Flow Control Not applied
- Baud: The number of signal changes made to the transmission medium per second. Each
symbol can represent or convey several bits of data.
- Data bit: The number of bits that are conveyed or processed per unit of time in data
communication. The data bit is quantified the actual data using bits per second except Parity,
Start bit, Stop bit, or control signals.
- Stop bit: In Asynchronous data transmission, a stop signal (last 2 bits) is sent after each code
word to bring the receiving mechanism to rest in preparation for the reception of the next symbol.
- Parity: A bit added to ensure that the number of bits with the value one in a set of bits.
- Flow Control: The process of managing the data transmission rate, so that the receiving node
is not to miss or lock up by overwhelmed data
