Immediately perform the VVT, as described below.
WARNING: Never perform the Ventilator Verification
Test while a patient is connected to the ventilator.
The VVT checks the following:
• System buzzers (two)
• Patient pressure measurement and
pressure performance
• Blower pressure measurement
• Transducer tubes leak
• Motor speed measurement
• Positive relief valves
• Solenoid valves (two)
• Solenoid safety release mechanism
• Flow performance
• Flow zeroing accuracy
• 21% FiO
