7.4.2.2 Starting the VVT:
1. Connect a breathing circuit to the iVent

2. Make sure the ventilator is plugged into a working
AC supply and switch on the ventilator’s power.
3. Select a patient weight to enable the ventilator to
enter standby mode.
CAUTION: Prior to performing the VVT, the unit must
be in a “warm” condition. Connect the breathing circuit
to a test lung and operate the ventilator for at least 15
minutes.
4. Call up the Main menu from the Main screen.
5. From the Main menu, select Maintenance.
6. You will see a caution pop-up. Select Yes to proceed,
otherwise, return to the Main screen by selecting No.
