3. Prime and flush the system with intermediate eluent using the procedures described
in Section 3.2, Priming the Pump, and Section 3.4, Flushing the System.
4. Flush the system with 20 to 40 mL of eluent at a flow rate of 2.0 mL/min for 10 to
20 minutes or until the detector signal is constant.
Adding the Final Eluent to the System
To add the final eluent to the system, follow the instructions in Section 3.6.1, Adding
Fresh Eluent.

Attention: Before priming and flushing the system with intermediate eluent,
remove the column from the flow path by opening the reference valve or by
connecting the pump outlet to the detector inlet with a union.
