Removing the propeller shaft hous-
ing assembly
1. Remove the bolts, then separate the
lower case cap.
NOTE:
Loosen the bolts in sequence as shown.
2. Remove the propeller shaft housing
assembly.
Disassembling the propeller shaft
assembly
1. Remove the spring 1, then the cross pin
2, dog clutch 3, spring 4, slider 5, and
shift plunger 6
Disassembling the propeller shaft
housing
1. Remove the reverse gear.
2. Remove the ball bearing.
cC
Do not reuse the bearing, always replace
it with a new one.
3. Remove the oil seals.
