2. Measure the valve stopper height b.
Replace if out of specification.

Removing the reed valve assembly
1. Remove the hoses 1.
2. Remove the intake manifold bolts 2, and
then remove the intake manifold cover,
gasket and reed valve assembly #1.
3. Remove the stay, intake manifold and
reed valve assembly #2.
Checking the reed valves
1. Check the reed valves for bends a.
Replace if above specification.

0.20 mm (0.0078 in)
Valve stopper height b:
4.0—4.4 mm (0.157—0.173 in)
