ForthedatapacketQoShandlingmethodonthenetworkedgedeviceontheaccessside,
therearethefollowingconditions:
lTheswitchcanselectwhethertotrustthepacketandwhicheldsofthepacket,such
asUPorDSCP,canbetrustedwhenreceivingthepacket.ItallocatestheQoSservice
accordingtotrustedelds.
lWhenthedatapacketreceivedbytheswitchisnottrusted,theQoSserviceis
allocatedaccordingtotherelatedQoScongurationonthereceivingport.
lQoSservicedenestheinternalprocessingmethodandexternalprocessingmethod
ofthepacket.TheinternalprocessingmethodincludesTC,andtheexternal
processingmethodincludesmodifyingthe802.1puserpriorityofadatapacketor
theDSCPdomainofanIPheader.
Forthefollowingnetworkcoredevice,implementtheservicesimilartothepreviousservice
accordingto802.1pofthepacketorDSCPmark.Thisway,asetofend-to-endQoS
serviceisprovided.Whentheowexceedstheconguration,thenetworkdevicecan
modifytheQoSservicelevelsuchasdroppingpacketsorallocatingthelower-levelQoS
service.
Whenadatapacketenterstheport,theswitchwillperformtheQoSinitializationmark
whichmainlyincludestheinitializationofTCQoSparameters.
Inthedirectionofswitchegress,theQoSisusedtoputthepacketintothesuitablequeue
accordingtomarkedTCandperformthecorrespondingqueueschedulingalgorithmand
congestioncontrolalgorithmaccordingtothecurrentqueuecongurationandmodifyit
accordingto802.1puserpriorityorIPDSCPeldofthedatapacket.
