portandsecondaryportofatransitnodehavethesamefunctions,whilethe
primaryportandsecondaryportofamasternodehavethefollowingdifferences:
lWhenaringisinUPstate,theprimaryportofamasternodeisin
Forwardingstate,andthesecondaryportisinBlockingstatetoblock
logicalloops.
lWhenaringisinDOWNstate,ZESRrapidlytransitsthesecondaryport
ofamasternodefromBlockingstatetoForwardingstatetoswitchthe
logicalpathquickly.
BoundaryPortWhenadeviceisconguredasanedgecontrolnodeoranedgeassistant
node,oneportneedstobedesignatedforit,thatis,aboundaryport.
ZESRLinkSwitchingIntroduction
ZESReliminateslogicalloopsbyblockingsomeparticularportsinaring;andwhenthe
statesofsomelinksinaringchange(fromontooff,orfromofftoon),ZESRcanrapidly
switchthelogicalpaths.
